Europe is enjoying high growth of plug-in electric car sales, which reached a new all-time record of almost 60,000.
EV Sales Blog reports 59,741 sales (up 38% year-over-year) at 3.5% market share (including 2.4% for BEVs). It’s even better when we add that the overall market shrunk by 4% in March
Most of the growth comes from the all-electric segment – 40,920 (up 67%), which represents 69% of total plug-in car sales.
After three months of 2019, sales of plug-in electric cars in Europe stands at 125,848 and an average market share of 3.1%.
March 2019 was the month of the Tesla Model 3, which with 15,771 sales was the best-selling electric car (best selling plug-in car in general too), more than three times above 2nd on the list and with 26.4% share! With 19,592 sales in Q1, the Model 3 is also #1 YTD.
